Everyone wore Black and no one was mad about it. Zach & Megan’s Wedding Day
Can we talk about this wedding for a minute? First of all, the weather on June 12th could not have been more perfect if we had ordered it ourselves. Sunshine, blue skies, and temperatures that didn’t have everyone melting by 3:00 pm. Indiana understood the assignment.
I’ve been working with Megan for over a year, so seeing everything finally come together at Bay Horse Inn was pretty incredible. When you’ve spent that much time planning, discussing details, making decisions, and fine tuning the vision, there is something really special about finally seeing it all come to life.
One of my favorite things about this wedding was how committed Zach and Megan were to their vision. Guests were asked to wear black, Megan was the only one in white, and the entire look was absolutely stunning. The moment guests started arriving, you could immediately see the impact. Black linens, white charger plates, gorgeous florals, candlelight, and Bay Horse Inn’s bright white interior made everything feel elegant, modern, and timeless all at the same time.
About 160 Family Members and Friends Attended
About 160 family members and friends joined them for the day, and from the ceremony all the way through the sparkler send off, the energy never slowed down. The ceremony took place outside, and honestly, you couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful afternoon. The setting was gorgeous, the weather cooperated, and everyone was ready to celebrate. I had the privilege of not only coordinating the day but also officiating the ceremony, which always makes me feel a little extra connected to the couple and their story. And can we talk about this vendor team for a minute? Because they absolutely brought their A game.
Wedding Florals by Patty absolutely crushed it. The florals truly set the tone for the entire wedding. From the ceremony aisle décor to the bridal party flowers and those gorgeous reception centerpieces, everything worked together perfectly. The black and white design could have easily felt cold, but Patty added just the right amount of softness and elegance to make the entire space feel warm and welcoming.
Cocktail hour was held in Bay Horse Inn’s saloon, which is one of my favorite spaces at the venue. Guests grabbed drinks, visited with family and friends, and enjoyed a little downtime before heading into the reception. It’s such a unique space and always a hit with guests.
Dinner Was Served
Then it was time for dinner, and Stone Catering Greenwood knocked it completely out of the park. Guests enjoyed filet medallions, chicken, mashed potatoes, green beans, Caesar salad, rolls, and of course their famous dipping oil. If you’ve had Stone’s dipping oil before, you already know. If you haven’t, you’re missing out. The food was fantastic, the presentation was beautiful, and the service was absolutely top notch all evening long.
Now let’s move on to one of my favorite parts of the night…dessert.
Little Lady Cakes created one of the most impressive dessert displays I’ve seen in a long time. This wasn’t just a dessert table. This was a dessert experience. Cupcakes, brownies, cookies, personal cheesecakes, candies, and more. The display itself was stunning, and guests were gathered around it all evening deciding what they wanted to try next. The answer, apparently, was everything.
Flora + Flame provided the welcome sign and seating chart, and they were absolutely beautiful. They fit the style of the wedding perfectly and were one of the first things guests saw when they arrived. Those little details matter, and they helped set the tone for the entire event.
Megan Looked Absolutely Gorgeous
Paige Grant Hair did an incredible job with her hair. I’ve worked alongside Paige and her team many times over the years, and they always deliver. Megan’s hair was soft, elegant, and held up beautifully throughout the entire day. And then there was the makeup.
Payton Iaria Makeup is ridiculously talented. Seriously. If I could pay this woman to do my makeup every weekend, I probably would. Megan still looked like Megan, which is exactly what every bride wants. She simply looked like the best version of herself. Soft, natural, flawless, and wedding day elevated. Every single member of the bridal party looked beautiful.
Behind the camera was Paige Ramage Photography, who traveled in from Tennessee for the wedding. She was an absolute pleasure to work with all day long. From the first look to the sparkler exit, she was constantly capturing moments and details. Based on everything I saw throughout the day, I already know Zach and Megan are going to have an incredible gallery to look back on. And then there was the dance floor. Carlos Bates with DJ A.I. did what Carlos does best. He had that dance floor PACKED. Not kinda packed. Not “a few people dancing.” PACKED.
At one point it felt more like a New York nightclub than a wedding reception. The energy was incredible, the music was on point, and guests were having an absolute blast. Every time I looked over, the dance floor was full. As if guests needed more food after dinner and dessert, NY Slice Pizza Truck rolled in later in the evening and became the perfect late night snack. Guests simply walked outside, placed an order, grabbed a slice, and headed right back to the party. Amazing pizza, amazing service, and honestly one of the smartest decisions a couple can make when they have a crowd that plans on dancing all night.
One thing I loved about Zach and Megan throughout this entire process was how much they trusted the team they hired. They had a vision, communicated it clearly, hired great vendors, and then allowed all of us to do what we do best. The result was a wedding day that felt effortless for them and their guests. Beautiful weather. A gorgeous venue. Amazing food. An incredible vendor team. A packed dance floor. Late night pizza. And two people who were genuinely excited to marry each other. I’d call that a pretty great day.
Congratulations, Zach and Megan. Thank you for allowing me to be part of such an incredible wedding. I wish you both a lifetime of happiness, laughter, and many years of making memories together in Sunny Las Vegas!
