Maybe you have a favorite spot you like or are just looking for a pretty backdrop, Brown County State Park is a beautiful location for your elopement. You can be tucked back in the woods surrounded by trees and away from the world – it’s one of our favorite spots!

North Lookout Tower
The North Lookout Tower is one of Brown County State Park’s classic scenic stops, with wide views over the rolling hills and forest below. It’s an easy spot to reach, works well for a small ceremony, and in the fall the color from up here is hard to beat.
Brown County Nature Center Overlook
The Nature Center has an outdoor amphitheater you can reserve for guests or just for a private ceremony with yourself, our Wedding Officiant, and a photographer! The beautiful location overlooks Brown County State Park’s nearly 16,000 acres of majestic forest – a truly gorgeous backdrop and one to remember.

Indiana University Campus, Bloomington
About 25 minutes from Nashville, IU’s campus is one of the prettiest in the Midwest, with limestone buildings, wooded paths and gardens around every corner. The Rose Well House, tucked in Dunn’s Woods near the Sample Gates, is a lovely spot for a small ceremony, and the Sample Gates make a classic backdrop for photos.
Bean Blossom Covered Bridge
Just 15 minutes north of Brown County State Park, the historic Bean Blossom Covered Bridge, built in 1880, is one of the most charming backdrops in Brown County. Its rustic red timbers and wooded surroundings make it a favorite for ceremonies and photos, especially in the fall.
