In Indiana, you do not need a ceremony or witnesses to be legally married. If you simply want to make it official, one of our ordained officiants will complete and sign your marriage license, along with the decorative copy most county clerks provide.
Signings take place at our Greenwood office seven days a week by appointment, and same-day times are often available. We are also happy to travel to you anywhere in Indianapolis and Central Indiana.

Marriage License Signing, No Ceremony
For couples who want their marriage made legal without a ceremony. There are no vows or ring exchange, just the signing of your marriage license so your marriage is legally recognized.

Same Day Marriage Questions
Do we need witnesses to get married in Indiana?
No. Indiana does not require witnesses, so it can be just the two of you and your officiant. You are welcome to bring up to 2 guests. An additional fee applies for more than 2. Your children are always welcome and do not count toward the two.
Is there a ceremony?
No. There are no vows or ring exchange, just the legal signing of your marriage license. If you would like a short ceremony, take a look at our Same Day Ceremony or Intimate Elopement.
Can we get married the same day we call?
Often, yes. Signings are by appointment seven days a week, and same-day times can usually be arranged. Call us at 317-416-7777 to check availability.
What do we need to bring?
Your Indiana marriage license from the county clerk, plus the decorative copy if you received one. We take care of the rest.
Where do signings take place?
At our Greenwood office for $60. We are also happy to travel to you anywhere in Indianapolis and Central Indiana, starting at $85 based on location.
How is our license returned?
Once your license is signed, we explain exactly how it is returned to the clerk so your marriage is recorded.
