Bretta Thompson

Owner  ·  Certified Wedding & Event Planner  ·  Officiant

Bretta started Weddings by Bretta in Indianapolis in 2012. Since then, she has planned and coordinated more than 400 weddings and events and presided over more than 4,500 weddings, and her team has worked with over 9,000 couples across Indianapolis and Central Indiana.

Before weddings, Bretta spent more than 20 years as a materials and purchasing manager, which is where her skill with budgets, vendors and logistics comes from. She holds an associate degree in business management. Being both a certified wedding planner and an officiant lets her see every wedding from every angle, so your day runs smoothly and feels taken care of.

Bretta planned her own wedding in Jamaica in 2000. She and her husband have five adult children and seven grandchildren, and when they are not at a wedding, you might find them on a bourbon tour.
